I found this charming questionairre with Joan Didion dating from 2003. Once again, I admire her sensibilities on creativity, selfhood, and life in general... My favorite response:
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
I find "speaking one's mind" pretty overrated, in that it usually turns out to be a way of aggrandizing the speaker at the expense of the helpless listener.
